Tanya McHarg

Trauma-Informed Therapist, Registered Social Worker, Meditation Coach & Facilitator.

I believe in the power of presence, self-compassion, and healing with intention. My work is deeply rooted in mindfulness, emotional safety, and trauma-informed care, drawing from both professional expertise and personal lived experience. As a Certified Meditation Coach, Registered Social Worker, and Trauma-Informed Therapist, I guide women through deep healing and self-reclamation.

I know what it’s like to feel disconnected, unseen, and overwhelmed by life’s weight and I also know that healing is possible when we choose it on purpose.

Your healing matters. You matter.

The Journey That Led Me Here

I want to start by saying “I see you.”

If you’ve found your way here, I imagine you’re carrying something heavy. Maybe you’re navigating old wounds that still feel fresh, or maybe you’ve lost sight of who you are beneath all of life’s demands. I understand because I’ve been there, too.

I didn’t just choose this work; I was called to it.

For years, I poured myself into others, believing that self-sacrifice was love. I ignored my own needs, pushed through exhaustion, and told myself that burnout was just the cost of caring. Until one day, my body, mind, and spirit demanded something different.

Healing wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. It took self-compassion, unlearning, and deep inner work to find my way back to myself. That experience shaped me not just as a woman, but as a therapist. Now, I help others do the same.

My Approach to Healing

Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you - because you are not broken. My role isn’t to tell you how to heal but to walk alongside you as we explore what healing looks like for you.

I use a trauma-informed, heart-centered approach that weaves together:

Mindfulness & Self-Compassion – Learning to meet yourself with gentleness.

Inner-Child Healing – Reconnecting with the parts of you that need love.

Embodied Healing – Tuning into your body’s wisdom and emotional cues.

Practical Tools – Strategies to help you feel more grounded, safe, and whole.

Together, we hold space for grief, joy, anger, relief, and everything in between. Healing isn’t linear, but it is possible with intention, patience, and support.

This little girl still lives within me—within all of us. Healing is about coming back to her, listening to her, and giving her the love, safety, and joy she always deserved.

Beyond the Therapy Room

Outside of my work, you’ll find me deep in nature, sipping tea, journaling, or immersed in soulful conversations. I believe in the power of stillness, the magic of small joys, and the beauty of reconnecting with our roots—both personal and ancestral.

I know the courage it takes to begin this journey. Whether you’re here for guidance, reflection, or simply to feel seen, you are welcome.

When you’re ready, I’m here.
